30-Year-Old Female Passenger aboard Norwegian Breakaway is Medevaced by U.S. Coast Guard

Coast_Guard_Medevac_NCL_Breakaway.jpgThe United States Coast Guard (“USCG”) medevaced a 30-year-old woman sailing aboard the Norwegian Breakaway earlier this week. The USCG reported that the medevac took place approximately 165 miles east of Virginia Beach. The woman was reported to have been suffering abdominal pain.

The medevac operation was launched from the Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City and included an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew and an HC-130 aircraft crew. The crew retrieved the passenger together with a ship’s nurse and transported them to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. According to the Coast Guard News, the woman was in stable condition.
